Dwayne Powell, CFP®

Dwayne is a Senior Vice President and Associate Branch Manager at Baird and a founding partner of The PGCG Group. Dwayne entered the financial services industry after graduating from Western Carolina University with a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in financial planning.

Dwayne was awarded the Outstanding Financial Planning Student Award during his senior year at WCU and earned the Certified Financial Planner® certification in 2004. During his tenure at Smith Barney, Dwayne earned the Blue-Chip Council honor, recognizing excellence in client service. He served as a trainer for new Financial Advisors at both Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.

Dwayne and his wife Shania were married in 2001. They live in Brevard with their two sons, Lawson, and Carter. Dwayne enjoys being involved in activities with his sons and in his community as well. He has coached both of his son's baseball teams. He has served as a Trustee and board member at Brevard Wesleyan Church, and on the advisory board for the Finance and Accounting Department at Western Carolina University. Dwayne is also the past Chairman of the Board at Safelight in Hendersonville.
